I had the pleasure of working with a talented team of designers, UX and project managers at PFSweb agency and LiveArea. We were tasked with refreshing the Ole Henriksen’s natural skin care digital retail experience on SalesForce Commerce Cloud. Our focus was to reorganize the site for SEO, increase functionality, responsiveness and elevate the brand and story using best practices.
The first thing you do when taking on a website refresh is analyze the existing website. We take notice of design, how it functions, flows and branding. We looked for areas where we can improve. I also looked at other sites for inspiration.
I wanted to check out the footer, mobile nav and search functionality. We saw some great ways to improve design and functionality.
The LiveArea team presented a couple of concepts in which we refined over a few rounds. Concept one focused on fresh face models and subtle ingredients. Concept two focused on Dutch texture and color. We wanted to clean up the navigation and help streamline the page design.
We delivered our designs in phases to Ole’s developer team. For drop 1 we focused on refining the homepage, category landing page and navigation dropdowns for desktop, tablet and mobile.
For this phase we focused on search results, sub category landing, blog landing and blog article pages.
For this phase we focused on About, quick view and PDP variations. We wanted to give them lots of layout options and show them how their new ingredients theme would scale throughout the site.
We are really excited and proud of the work we did together. The Ole team has modern and scalable content blocks and product tiles to use. The leadership really knows how to guide and inspire you. It was a privilege to working with LiveArea team. View site >
